Christmas lights, duct tape, and a bright idea…
It all began on the ASU campus one night in
2011,
when Greg Rudolph spotted a skater who had duct-taped bulky Christmas lights to his skateboard. Inspired, he risked his personal savings to create the original fully-customizable LED
underglow
board lights, and the bright idea quickly took off!

Q. When will my order arrive?

Q. How do Board Blazers attach?
A: Board Blazers attach using a specialized adhesive pad. One side adheres to the board/scooter, the other side attaches to the light. Watch the video above for details.

Q. How long does international shipping take?
A: Depending on your location, international orders typically take 2-3 weeks to arrive.
Q. Does my order include a skateboard?
A: To clarify, we only sell the lights, not the skateboards. Board Blazers can attach to any skateboard, longboard, or scooter.
Q: How do the lights turn on?
A: When the lights are attached to the board/scooter, simply twist each light to manually turn it on/off. There are no wires connecting the lights.
Q: Can I do tricks with Board Blazers?
A: Board Blazers are intended for cruising. Most tricks can be executed with careful placement of the lights under the trucks. Board Blazers are not designed as an extreme performance product.
Q: How big are the lights?
A: Board Blazers are very small (and bright!). Each light is about the diameter of a quarter and slightly less than an inch tall.
Q: Will Board Blazers work with my skateboard or scooter?
A: Board Blazers work with all types of skateboards and scooters, including plastic skateboards. If you find that Board Blazers do not fit your particular skateboard/scooter, you are welcome to simply return them, provided they meet the other terms of the warranty.
Q: How many lights do I need for my skateboard/scooter?
A: Board Blazers are sold in sets of four lights of the same color. One set is enough for a standard size skateboard or scooter. Longboards typically require two sets for full illumination. Many riders add multiple sets to create cool color combos.
Q. Oops! The lights fell off. What should I do?
A: First, contact us
for free replacement adhesive. Then, first apply one side of the adhesive to the board. Next, peel off the backing and press the light
firmly
into the center of the pad for
10 full seconds
. Taking the time to allow the light to fully bond to the pad should fix the problem.
Q: How long do the batteries last?
A: Board Blazers are designed for extended use. The average life of the batteries is 30 hours. CR 2032 mini button cell batteries can be easily replaced.
Q: Do you sell replacement batteries or adhesive pads?
A: Yes. Both are available from our customer service crew. Batteries are shipped in sets of two, and adhesive pads are shipped in sets of four.
Q: Are Board Blazers interchangeable?
A: No. Board Blazers are designed to attach durably to your board. Instead, attach multiple sets and only turn on only the lights you would like to illuminate.
Q: Are Board Blazers permanent?
A: While the adhesive is strong and durable, Board Blazers can be removed with care. The adhesive pads cannot be reused.
Q: Are Board Blazers waterproof?
A: Yes. When on, each light is extremely waterproof.
Q. How do I remove the lights?
A: First, peel the light off of the pad. Then, place a piece of clear packing tape over the adhesive pad, and press firmly. Simply peel back the tape and the pad will adhere to the tape and be pulled off the board. Note that the adhesive cannot be reused. Do not scrape the pad off or use solvents, as this could damage the board.
