Vintage '60s Military Police Tin Jeep Toy Battery Op w/ remote Japan WORKS!

Offered here is a tin toy jeep that probably dates to the late ’50s to ’60s era. It does no have a brand name on it, but is labeled “Made in Japan”. It is a battery operated military police jeep with a wired remote control. When the buttons are pressed, the jeep moves either forward or reverse. The driver waves his left arm and a light flashes through the small red window on the unit in the back of the jeep. It does work and will go forward or backwards. It does not change directions when it bumps into things, but I am not sure if it is supposed to or not.
Cosmetically, it looks fairly good. I am not sure why the back half of the jeep is whiter than the front end, but it is. See the pics.
